Created in 2011 by Frederic GILLET, the company Art du Tonneau offers you to dive into the history of cooperage. Art du Tonneau offers animations in our premises but also in all France. Learn and discover the history of cooperage for more than 2000 years. We will teach you to show your own barrel through an original, playful and participative workshop.

Coming from a family of coopers, Frédéric GILLET decided in 2011 to leave the family business in Saint-Romain to create the company Art du Tonneau and thus be able to offer discovery animations of the cooperage, accessible to any public.
For more than 20 years, we have been offering fun, friendly and participative workshops throughout France.
Our Workshops around the Barrel
Our concept is unique in France! A participative and playful workshop, ideal for your seminars or family outings to develop teamwork in a very friendly spirit.
We can receive you alone or in groups. We propose you to discover the cooperage in our workshop or on the place of your choice.
We adapt the duration to your schedule.
We travel throughout France and our services can be provided in English and German (upon reservation).
We can welcome you 5 minutes from Beaune in the commune of Vignoles in our discovery workshop.
We have also selected privileged places in the middle of the vineyards on the communes of Volnay and Pommard or on a historical place: The Ramparts of the Civil Hospices of the city of Beaune, under the overhang of the old vat house (Place subject to rental).

Original creations at the art cooperage
We offer a wide selection of original and quality items on the theme of cooperage and wine. We sell new and second hand barrels, not forgetting our decorative barrels.
